In this group, translucent drawings or prints are layered with actual or xerographic images of lace to suggest the concept of the insubstantial. French lace, which is used as an emblem of psychological pattern throughout much the artist's work, also refers to a family legacy. The design intensifies with penetrating light, creating a web that enmeshes the figures.
